@h5 Integration & Setup
+ Why Use Clever or ClassLink for Integration?
Clever and ClassLink are recommended for PebbleGo integration because they provide:
* Seamless Single Sign-On (SSO): Teachers and students can access PebbleGo bypassing the need to log in manually.
* Personalized experience: Landing pages based on user roles (student, teacher, admin).
* Better visibility: Easy access Educator Tools and Create
* One App for the Entire District: No more juggling URLs that change or get outdated.
* Automated Rostering: Ensures accurate student and teacher assignments, reducing manual setup.
* District-Wide Management: IT teams can manage access across all schools efficiently.
+ Can I change my integration?
Yes, you can update your integration at any time. If you subscribe to PebbleGo Create, please keep in mind that Projects and Boards will not automatically transfer to your new profile. Projects and Boards can be imported, but this must be done manually on an individual user basis.
+ What happens to existing student and teacher Projects and Boards in PebbleGo Create if I change my integration?
Projects will not automatically transfer but can be manually imported. See How do I import projects and boards into my new account?
Data loss only occurs if your district previously used PebbleGo Create with one integration and then switched to a different one (e.g., from Google Classroom to Clever).
+ I Already Have a Link for Each School in Clever or ClassLink. How Is the New App Different?
The new PebbleGo app for Clever or ClassLink offers several advantages over managing individual school links:
* One App for All Schools: Instead of managing multiple links for each school, you’ll have a single, district-wide app that provides access to all schools with active subscriptions.
* Easier IT Management: One setup, fewer updates: No need to manage separate URLs for each school—district-level control means less maintenance and troubleshooting.
* Seamless Single Sign-On (SSO): Students and teachers log in with their existing Clever or ClassLink credentials, accessing their school’s resources automatically.
* Automatic Updates: As new schools or subscriptions are added, they’ll automatically appear in the district app—no need to create new links.
* Consistent User Experience: Everyone accesses PebbleGo through the same app, ensuring a unified experience for teachers and students across the district.
+ Do I need a different Google integration for PebbleGo and Create?
Yes! Schools and districts that subscribe to PebbleGo only can quickly enable Google Classroom SSO. See Connecting Capstone Accounts with Google for step-by-step instructions.
If your school or district subscribes to PebbleGo Create, please reach out to our support@capstonepub.com to get started.

@h5 Managing Users & Access
+ Why don’t I see my students when I try to share a Project or Board?
If you’re sharing a Project or Board by selecting: Share > Share with Create Users > From Your Classes, your students will only appear if they have logged into PebbleGo Create at least once.
If the class is missing entirely but visible on your "Classes" tab, it means no students from that class have logged into Create yet. The class will appear once students begin logging in.
This applies only to schools or districts using Clever or ClassLink integration. As students log in for the first time, their names will automatically populate in the list.
Tip: Encourage students to log in early to ensure they show up when you’re ready to share projects!
+ Why are students are receiving an "Access Blocked" message when they log in with Google?
The Access Blocked message students see when trying to log into PebbleGo Create with Google is due to a Google policy update from 2023. Google has strengthened security measures for users under 18, which may restrict third-party apps from accessing their Google accounts.
To restore access, your Google Administrator will need to complete a few steps in the Google Admin Console.
Please download the Approving PebbleGo Create in Google Classroom Instructions and use the following Client ID:
323062320162-kp40s45mt8l6pipmjhnb3226vt8os15b
Note: Be sure to include the hyphen in the ID.
Once the app is approved, students should be able to access PebbleGo Create without any issues.
+ What if I don’t have classes assigned to me in Clever, ClassLink, or Google Classroom?
PebbleGo Create allows educators to manually create classes in their dashboard and invite students via class code. Allowing all educators including Media Specialists, Support Staff, and more to stay connected with students.

@h5 Using PebbleGo in Clever & ClassLink
+ I see multiple PebbleGo apps in Clever and ClassLink. Which one should I use?
Select the PebbleGo OAuth2 app (see app icon below).
<img src="/content/dam/pebblegodev/help-center/PebbleGo_App_Icon_Integration.png" alt="PebbleGo App Icon" width="197" height="190" />
+ How do I share the user metadata.primaryOrg field in ClassLink?
To generate the metadata.primaryOrg field, you will need to create a file merge using the preprocessor’s file merge function. For detailed step-by-step instructions, please refer to the ClassLink support documentation linked below:
Adding Metadata to Roster Server Using the File Merge Functionr
Once the file merge is complete, navigate to the PebbleGo application and follow these steps:
1. Go to More Actions > Shared Fields.
2. Select the Users collection, where the metadata field is located.
3. Ensure that metadata.primaryOrg is toggled on, along with other relevant metadata fields, so they can be accessed by PebbleGo during their API pull.

Once the fields are enabled and saved, the next sync with PebbleGo will include the updated metadata, allowing us to receive the necessary information.
+ Can we set up separate summer school buildings in Clever or ClassLink to use PebbleGo during summer programs?
At this time, Capstone does not support the creation of separate summer school buildings within Clever or ClassLink. While we understand that some districts set up dedicated summer school structures in these platforms, we are currently unable to configure separate accounts or buildings.
To ensure uninterrupted access, students and educators can continue to log into PebbleGo and PebbleGo Next using their existing school accounts in Clever and ClassLink throughout the entire calendar year, including summer months. No additional setup is required.
We are actively exploring ways to better support summer school configurations in the future. In the meantime, if you have questions about summer access or rostering, please reach out to our support team.
