woodlands. Chimpanzees
sleep in trees. They use
leaves and branches to
make nests.

Food

Chimpanzees eat fruit, nuts,
seeds, and insects. They use
tools to help them get food.
Chimpanzees use sticks
to pull ants out of their nests.
They use rocks as hammers
to break open nutshells.

Life Cycle

Female chimpanzees usually
give birth to only one infant
at a time.
Mothers carry their infants
wherever they go.
Chimpanzees live up to
45 years in the wild.
