3 Big Upgrades Coming to PebbleGo

May 30, 2019

There are a number of improvements and upgrades you will notice in PebbleGo. The most noticeable change will be to the look of PebbleGo. We have redesigned every page of PebbleGo to vastly improve the student experience with a sleek, modern interface that will provide an even richer and more enjoyable environment that your students will love exploring time and time again. Here are three upgrades you won't want to miss!

1. PebbleGo will be accessible to students of all abilities, and will be Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 AA compliant.

What does it mean to be section 508 compliant?

Section 508, an amendment to the United States Workforce Rehabilitation Act of 1973, is a federal law mandating that all electronic and information technology developed, procured, maintained, or used by the federal government be accessible to people with disabilities.

What is WCAG compliance?

WCAG 2.0 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), standards set by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), is an updated version of Section 508 compliance. In addition to the regulations set out by Section 508, WCAG compliance includes guidelines at an international level. The goal of WCAG is to provide a single shared standard for web content accessibility that meets the needs of individuals, organizations, and governments internationally.
